Meet Matt

Matt, originally from West Virginia, has called Myrtle Beach home for nearly four decades. Over the years, he has witnessed and actively participated in the continuous evolution of the Grand Strand area.

With over 30 years of experience in resort and residential real estate sales throughout the Grand Strand, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to assist buyers and sellers in achieving their real estate objectives.

His involvement with The Scalise Group has afforded him comprehensive insights into various facets of real estate, including construction, development, and vacation rentals.

Matt's educational background includes graduating from Myrtle Beach High School and The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Prior to his real estate career, he gained valuable experience at Bank of America as a Consumer Loan Officer and Commercial Credit Analyst, honing his skills to provide exceptional service to his clients.

Beyond his professional achievements, Matt is deeply engaged in the Myrtle Beach community. He has contributed to numerous charities and served on various boards, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact locally.

Matt shares his life with his wife, Marian, a successful medical malpractice defense attorney. Their children, Matthew Jr. and Margaret, have also pursued impressive educational and professional paths, reflecting the family's dedication to excellence.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys cherished family time, outdoor pursuits like boating, hiking, and tennis, as well as relaxing at the beach with his loyal canine companion, Dixie.
